this boy is my spirit animal for the coming year. talismans, the virgin mary, michaelangelo, beautiful hands, pulsing veins, unhinged everything, a calling, the calling, purity (not 'good' or 'evil'), the unruly, hansel/gretel, ambition, possession, selfishness, taking, poets, the object, beauty. i trust that two people can create a language and a story as grand or majestic as any before or after them, or one never seen again. and if we have missed each other in the night, i trust that, too.
