all images © Sunny Shokrae...last but certainly not least...try and take a photo like any of these - you will fail. the space that Sunny inhabits is in these images.. they are not put-on, they are not 'hipster,' they are not passé. the images walk around a saturated territory all derivative of nan goldin ('intimate'/'personal') but she avoids comparison because of the humility in regards to all of the beauty - the characters, the travels, the style, the faces. she mines for uninhabited moments of pause in a frenetic go-go world of show n' tell, but these images will get more than their 15-minutes, because she herself is not here for solely show.
